1. How much does it cost to register?
Just £9.95 inc. VAT which includes your one-off registration fee (£5) and your entry being live for 12 months. For subsequent years, your annual fee reduces to £4.95 and it is even cheaper for a family to join at £19.95 (inc. £10 registration fee). This equates to £2.49 per person for a family of up to 4.

2. Can anyone register?
Yes, as long as you are over 16 years of age. Those younger will need either a parent or legal guardian to register of their behalf.

3. Do I have a limit to the size of my entry?
Each standard package allows unlimited text space and the ability to upload approximately 2 pictures (correctly formatted) per category (24 pictures in total). This equates to 1.5mb. If you upgrade to a Multimedia Package, you are able to add 5mb of space for video/audio clips. There is no limit to the number of Multimedia Package upgrades you purchase.

4. Can anyone else amend my entry?
No, unless you give authorisation to a friend, relative or Executor of your Will after you have passed away. Your entry is User Name and Password protected to prevent anyone else amending your entry.

5. Can I have multiple entries?
Only if you are taking out a Family Package enabling you to register your spouse/partner and up to 2 children.

6. Can I use pictures and video/audio clips?
Yes. Pictures can enhance your site, with a limit of 24 pictures for a Standard Individual Package. For those opting for the Multimedia Package, this enables you to upload video/audio clips at 5mb a time.

7. I have some large pictures, can you help me re-size them?
Yes. The site has a special picture reformatting tool, enabling you to upload pictures at the optimum size, thereby ensuring you have as many pictures as possible within the space allocated (1.5mb). For additional space, you will need to upgrade to the Multimedia Package.

8. Can my entry be printed out?
Yes. We have enabled the site to print out each of your Category pages and Personal Profile page in a PDF file format. This will enable you to print out your entry in A4 (210mm x 297mm) and bind in a Presentation Binder.

9. Who can view my entry?
Once you are happy with your text/pictures you can post them to your entry with a click of a button. Once you have done this, anyone who visits MeRemembered will be able to view your entry, either by casual browsing or keyword searching.

10. I'm not ready to complete all my categories, therefore can I do it in stages?
Certainly. You can take as long as you like whilst you are an active registrant. You can make notes and draft your categories at will and, only when you are ready, do you make the category go live. At anytime, as an active registrant, you can revisit a category and make any amendments as you see fit.
11. How long will my entry be on the site?
For as long as you are an active registrant (have paid your annual fee) your entry will be displayed on the MeRemembered site.

12. What happens if I die?
For those registrants who have passed away, your entry will be held on the site in perpetuity, or removed if that is your instruction.
You are able to instruct a relative, friend or Executor of your Will to amend/update your site if that is your wish. The ability to update your site after your passing, will be allowed with the payment of the annual fee which will provide a 12 month updating period.

13. Can I do an entry for someone special to me?
Yes, with their permission if they are still alive. We will need written proof of this permission at the time of registering.
If you are wishing to create a 'memoriam' entry for a loved one, you are able to do so by providing us with written proof of your relationship with that person (ie. close friend/relative).

14. Do I have to complete a category or section if I don't want to?
No. It is your entry, therefore you can make your entry as long or as short as you like. Furthermore, if for any reason you don't wish to complete all or part of a category you don't need to.

15. What do you do with my data?
Your details are stored on a secure server operated on our behalf. We have chosen one of the most secure server possible, providing maximum protection. This helps prevent abuse or interference by a malicious third-party.
We will only pass your details to a carefully-selected third-party if you give us permission to do so when registering.

16. Can I link to another website or registrant?
Yes. If you already have your own web or blog site you can post a link to your MeRemembered entry. Likewise, a relative, friend or perhaps colleague/fellow club member may also have an entry on MeRemembered, which can be linked to your entry. If you have taken out a Family Package, each entry will be automatically linked to each other, thus aiding those conducting family history research both now and in the future.

17. Are there any hidden costs?
Absolutely not. The only case for you having to pay more than your registration and small annual fee, is if you wish to upgrade to a Multimedia Package to provide you with more space on your entry for video/audio clips.

18. I want to register an entry for my late parent, am I able to do this?
You are able to complete an entry for a late relative/loved one, without their permission given when they were alive, by providing us with written proof of your relationship with that person.
However, in the event that we are made aware by a third-party, that information provided is either inaccurate or offensive, we reserve the right to suspend the entry pending further investigation and ultimately remove the entry if necessary.

19. Can I contact another registrant and can I be contacted?
Yes. Every registrant has a Message Board on their entry, enabling you to send a message offline to that person. Once received via our system, that registrant is free to contact you and/or post your message to their Message Board for others to view if appropriate.
No registrants email addresses are made accessible to another registrant by us and we advise that you don't publish either an email address, postal address or phone number anywhere on your site in order to avoid any unwelcome contact.

20. I'm looking to start a new relationship, can MeRemembered help?
Yes. Each registrant has an opportunity to flag up, as part of their Personal Profile, that they are looking for a new partner. This enables someone to browse your entry and, if attracted by what they see and read, contact you via the Message Board system. You do not need to reply to their contact if you don't wish to.

21. I'm looking for a new job, can MeRemembered help?
Yes, most certainly. For those in the job market at any time, simply recording this on your Personal Profile will alert browsers who happen to be looking for a new employee.
In addition, within your Career Category page, you can complete a CV Supplement section, enabling you to either email or print out to enhance your CV, as it will provide further background about you as a person than just a few lines giving your hobbies, as is the case with most CV's.

22. I'm looking for an investor for my new idea or business, can MeRemembered help?
Yes. You are able to search the site for registrants that have indicated on their entry that they are a 'Business Angel', namely willing to invest in businesses. Having found a candidate, you are able to approach them through the site's Message Board system. The Business Angel is then at liberty to contact you if they so wish.
At no time is this an invitation to invest or an agreement of investing, simply a possible matching service to help entrepreneurs and Business Angels to get in touch with each other.

23. When is a good time to register?
At any age really - when you are young you can start recording your life experiences on MeRemembered, building your entry as your life progresses. Alternatively, experiencing a life-changing event, namely marriage, the birth of a child, a new house move, change of job, would be a good time to start your entry. For those who are retired, it is an ideal time to reminisce and spend time compiling your entry as you probably have many years of memories to record.

24. I don't have a credit or debit card so are there any other ways I can pay for an entry?
You are able to send us a cheque (made payable to 'The Communications Practice') in the event that you don't hold a credit/debit card.
Alternatively, through our Secure Trading payment processing system you can use a UKash voucher, available at over 160,000 retail shops in the UK and enter the voucher number when registering.

25. Is it cheaper to register as a family?
Yes. A standard Individual Package, excluding your first year Registration Fee, currently costs £4.95 per annum, whereas a Family Package costs £9.95 for 2 adults and up to 2 children, equating to £2.49 per person.

No. We welcome registrations from all over the world, especially those born in the UK and residing abroad.

28. If I want to cancel my entry, how do I go about it?
All you need to do is write to MeRemembered and state you wish to cancel your entry, as well as contacting your credit card company.
